University Information Night Resources
Monday the 8th of March was our University Information Night with presenters from UAC, Sydney University, UTS and Macquarie University. We have attached the presentations as they have some really useful information. Thank you all for coming! Remember, please book a Careers interview to discuss your options.
Careers Team
The careers team at Freshwater Senior Campus plays an integral part in the Whole School Wellbeing Program. The service provides guidance to students in the career decision-making process they undertake during their time at Freshwater. As a senior campus, student career development is a whole school responsibility and while the Careers Advisers are the experts, subject teachers, Year Advisers, Deputies and the Principal all deliver valuable guidance where relevant.
Opportunities are provided for students to access the most up-to-date career information ensuring confident, informed decisions result. Examples of these opportunities include the annual Yr 12 University Information Evening hosted here at school in March; a compulsory Yr 12 visit to The HSC and Career Expo, Moore Park in June; notification and strong encouragement to attend Institution Open Days in August/September
Each student will seek individual career guidance at different stages of their Freshwater journey. When they feel ready, we are here to assist. Individual career planning sessions happen frequently due to student self- referral, parent referral and staff referral. It is highly recommended students complete the Career Quiz provided by Career HQ at no cost and use this as a basis for an initial career interview.
