CHANGES TO INTAKE AREA FROM 2026
Last week, the NSW Government announced some changes regarding enrolments at Northern Beaches Secondary College. Starting in 2026, the Freshwater Senior Campus will expand to include Years 7-12.
As a result of these changes, we will also be updating the intake areas for Northern Beaches Secondary College, The Forest High School, Narrabeen Sports High School, and several primary schools. These updates have been made in response to valuable feedback we gathered during our consultation process. Our goal is to ensure a smoother transition for students moving from primary school to high school, allowing them to continue their education alongside their friends.
To find out which school your child may be eligible for in 2026, you can easily check by using the search function on the map tool with your address.
With the new intake area boundaries, we are pleased to confirm that all families will have guaranteed access to a co-educational high school. You will be able to view the updated local intake areas for 2026 on School Finder starting in January 2025.
We want to reassure you that no current primary or high school students, as well as those enrolled to start in 2025, will need to change schools.
From 2026, schools will prioritise siblings of students currently enrolled, as consistent with the department's enrolment policy.

Thank you for your continued support as we work together to enhance our school community.
