Freshwater Senior Campus Transition to Year 7-12 Co-Educational High School

It has recently been announced that Freshwater Senior Campus will transition to a Year 7-12 co-educational high school starting in Term 1, 2026.  Year 7 and Year 9 will be enrolling, along with Years 11 and 12 students, with the school officially operating as a Years 7-12 institution from 2027.

This decision follows positive feedback from community consultations held in August and September 2024, where parents and students expressed strong support for co-educational options.

Expanding co-educational options in the Northern Beaches will give students access to an additional local school for Year 7-12.  The transition will provide students with access to a broader curriculum, enhanced resource sharing, and improved social interaction - all aimed at better preparing them for future learning and work environments.  We will also look to retain those features of the senior school that best support senior students in their learning and engagement.

We will provide regular updates on the progress of the project here and through the school newsletter.  For more information, visit the FAQs on the NSW Department of Education website under Parents and Carers.
